It's been a while, nee? I haven't been on much due to inability/lack of time to draw, as well as my ever increasing work load for school. x_x And let's be honest, some plain old laziness is in there too. I also have a boyfriend to attend to. C:

SO... I went to the Avcon this year, way back in July. o3o WHAT IS THE AVCON YOU SAY? Well, not that I knew it existed before a week before the event but it is my local Anime Convention. An Anime Convention in Australia?! In South Australia?! Who knew, no one told me. >_> ... The fact that I live in a small town 4 hours from Adelaide means nothing. I SHOULD HAVE KNOOOWWNN.
-cough- Anyway.
It was a great weekend!
I had a tone of fun, and luckly my boyfriend wasn't too bored out of his brains as he's developing an interest in anime. I can't believe I left my camera behind! T___TIt had everything I thought I'd never see in the flesh in Australia. o__o
Anime screenings up on a big screen with original Japanese voices and english subtitles.
A Lolita Fashion show! Including a guy in a dress, good on ya dude.
(Also a Lolita panel telling ya all the basics!)Artist's Corner! There were tables set up with people selling their art! *o*! People like me, not professionals that I could only hope to live up to... okay they were pretty professional, none of the art was second grade, and they all seemed to be organised and awesome and ohmigod. Meeting and chatting with them all was my favourite part of the weekend. <3 I tried to get each of there DA's as i went too.

I have yet to contact them though... hope no one's offended, frankly I've been embarrassed of the state of my DA. XD
Ball Jointed Dolls! So cute yet soooo expensive! I... I... I got to hold one. o0o! There was a panel set up to tell you all about them and it was awesomee, before the panel the were sitting on one/some of the artist's tables too so you could take a good look at them through out the day. x3
A maids' cafe! As in the only place to get food, huge line up! I GOT POCKY HERE. I've never had pocky. o3o Taste so gooooodd. <3 I kept the empty packet lol. As the name suggests it was run by girls in lolita styled maids outfits. I think they had cat ears and stuff on too. |D
AND... Games' tournaments but I found that hard to follow. XD I wanted to check out the Pokemon one! :<
There were also a lot of anime related shops/stands around too. C:
BUT LAST BUT NOT LEAST! The Cosplay Competition! Or competitions I should say, there was one on each day. I was so bummed I didn't get to see either one all the way through. D:
On the first day we skipped it because of the HUGE line up. One thing I noticed about the Avcon was that there were SOSOSOO many people in comparison to the amount of stuff there.
However the next day it was about the same! So we just jumped in line and waited it out. XD And it was awesome! Truly awesome, one of the guys that runs the whole thing was awesome, and funny, and everyone paid him out. XD Good times good times... But then we had to go. ): I was staying with my boyfriend and his mum at the house they own in Adelaide so when his mum wanted to leave for home, we had to leave. >:
But all in all it was an amazing couple of days!
Now what else can I remember... oh. 8D; I went into the Avcon with $100. I came out with none after the first day. XD You see, I'd planned to just buy heaps of little things, or something like that. but then... but then...
Where was a little lolita shop set up. I wanted just to try this black and white skirt on... >_> I bet you can guess what happened here. Besides, not long after I came out of the little makeshift changing room my boyfriend was already pulling the money out of his pocket. (It was my money, he didn't pay for it XD no way would i have let him even if he had the money) I also got a petticoat to go with it. Before then I had thought a petticoat was a little coat or something, lol. XD so... MONEY? ALL GONE.
Before I bought that though I'd picked out a poster by ~washipuppy, of this picture actually: [link] (I can't go past anything Jak and Daxter related XD) and a bunny head phone charm as and after thought by her as well. C:
I also got a simple slowpoke pin from one of the little stores in the games area.
Also! As a side note, Angry Cat Man made awesome crowd control! To me and my boyfriend he was little an icon of the event in himself. XD

As for any other updates, I'll hopefully put some newer art up soon, so I'll actually be game to contact those people I met at the Avcon... a month late. XD;;
Cincin! I'm sorry I missed Britania Week. ;3; I will wear an icon from it belatedly though. <3 ...And because Evvy and Rhy are just that cute. >3>
Now I have to quickly prepare for my Photography lesson! o3o;
